About Sanctuary Golf Course
Architect Steve Halberg shaped a creekside prairie dotted with tree groves into The Sanctuary Golf Course, which opened in 1996. The 18-hole layout stretches more than 6,900 yards and routes through tall grass, stands of trees and wetlands. Four sets of tees accommodate a range of skill levels, and the tees, fairways and greens are bent grass. There are 68 bunkers, and water comes into play on 14 of the 18 holes.

Practice facilities include a 50-stall bent grass tee, a short game area with a bunker and a large putting green. PGA professionals on staff give lessons during the season, and the golf shop carries equipment, clothing and accessories.
The course also hosts corporate and social outings and other special events. The Bunker Bar and Grill, which has outdoor seating, serves golfers after a round.
