Chick Evans Golf Course
About Chick Evans Golf Course
Chick Evans Golf Course takes its name from Charles E. "Chick" Evans Jr., the first amateur to capture both the U.S. Open and the U.S. Amateur in a single year and the founder of the Evans Scholars Foundation, which funds college scholarships for qualified caddies.
The 18-hole layout plays to a par of 71 over 5,691 yards in Chicago's northern suburbs. The North Branch of the Chicago River meets the West Fork within the property, and the course is bordered by natural preserve land that lends the setting a quiet, scenic character.
The length and layout make the course approachable for players across a range of skill levels, with rounds of either nine or eighteen holes available.
