About Medinah Country Club

Medinah Country Club was founded in 1924 by a group that included members of the Medinah Shriners, who set out to build a golf and social club outside Chicago. Its three courses were originally laid out by architect Tom Bendelow, and the club's Byzantine-style clubhouse remains one of its defining landmarks.

The private club is set on a broad landscape west of the city. Over the decades it has hosted major championships, including the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open and the Ryder Cup, while maintaining the traditions established at its founding.
