Hickory Knoll Golf Course & Bar

Hickory Knoll Golf Course & Bar is a nine-hole course in Lake Villa, Illinois, with a long history that reaches back to a time when military members could play a round for a nickel.

The course has recently undergone a major redevelopment. The work added 17 new sand traps placed to test shot-making, installed a modern drainage system across four holes to keep conditions playable after heavy rain, and rebuilt the greens for a smooth, consistent putting surface. A bar is part of the property, and the layout is geared toward family and casual play.
