Pine Lakes Golf Course
About Pine Lakes Golf Course
Pine Lakes Golf Course in Herrin was originally called Green Acres Golf Course, operating under the Gould family until 2004, when Phil and Judy Preston purchased the property and renamed it.
Since taking over, the Prestons have carried out a series of course improvements. New ball washers, yardage markers, benches and color-coded flagsticks were installed, several tee boxes were modified, greens were enlarged or reshaped, and additional sand traps were built.

The course remains family-run. Phil, a former roofing contractor from the Kankakee area who relocated to Southern Illinois with his family, works the grounds alongside his sons Scott and Brett, who also manage several developments surrounding the course.
