About Bittersweet Golf Club
Bittersweet Golf Club is a public course in Gurnee, set in a quiet natural landscape a short distance from the Tri-State Tollway and area attractions such as Six Flags and Gurnee Mills.
The layout features undulating fairways, multitiered tee boxes and bentgrass playing surfaces framed by bluegrass rough, with wetlands and mature oak savanna bordering play. Water comes into play on 16 of the 18 holes, and bunkers and trees add further strategic decisions. Multiple tee placements range from about 5,500 yards at the red tees to 6,500 from the blue and 6,900 from the black, allowing the course to suit a range of abilities.
