The Freeport Club
About The Freeport Club
The Freeport Club is a public golf course in Freeport, Illinois, set in a park-like landscape of rolling fairways framed by mature trees. Natural contours and elevation changes shape the routing, and the design asks questions of golfers across a range of abilities.
The greens are a defining feature, combining subtle undulation and tilt with speeds that typically run between 10.0 and 12.0 on the stimpmeter, placing a premium on the short game. Course conditioning and playability are a stated priority of the grounds staff.
