About Bowes Creek Country Club

Bowes Creek Country Club is an 18-hole public course in Elgin, Kane County, laid out as the centerpiece of a 616-acre residential country-club community. The course was designed by architect Rick Jacobson and planned around the site's natural features, including Bowes Creek itself, woodland and wetland areas, a lake, rolling former farmland, stands of mature trees and scenic bluff slopes.

The rustic setting is marked by wide fairways and sweeping bunkers, with fingers of grass drifting into the sand and fescue edging the bunker faces. Five sets of tees on every hole stretch the layout from roughly 5,100 to 6,900 yards, accommodating a broad range of playing abilities.

Golf is open to the public, with annual memberships and single-day memberships available in place of green charges; daily play includes a cart and use of the practice facility. Enhanced-access carts, operable with one hand and permitted closer to greens, fringes and bunkers, are available for golfers with disabilities.
