About Kishwaukee Country Club

Kishwaukee Country Club is a member club in DeKalb, Illinois, and serves as the official practice course for nearby Northern Illinois University. Golf activity at the club includes men's and women's leagues, a schedule of tournaments through the season, and an annual junior golf camp, with the putting green often doubling as the spot where young children take their first swings.

Beyond golf, the club has a swimming pool with a staffed facility and swimming lessons, making it a gathering place for families in warmer months, along with food and drink on site. Club traditions include a Fourth of July celebration with a view of the Hopkins Park fireworks, an Easter brunch with an egg hunt, and a holiday brunch with Santa.

The club was founded by a group of DeKalb residents and first stood in neighboring Sycamore, where the original facility consisted of nine holes along with a dance hall and a dining room.
