Lincoln Oaks Golf Course
About Lincoln Oaks Golf Course
Lincoln Oaks Golf Course in Crete, Illinois, is a public course with roots stretching back to 1927, when it opened as one of four layouts at Lincolnshire Country Club. The original design came from architect Tom Bendelow, whose work also includes the original South Course at Olympia Fields Country Club, Naperville Country Club and all three courses at Medinah Country Club.
The course plays to a par of 71 at roughly 6,200 yards. Renovations have added continuous cart paths and reshaped tees and fairways to improve playability. Mature trees line the bent grass fairways, and the small greens reflect an older style of design, presenting a test for experienced players as well as a manageable round for others.
