Harborside International Golf Center
About Harborside International Golf Center
Harborside International Golf Center brings the traditions of seaside links golf to Chicago's South Side with two courses, Port and Starboard, both laid out by architect Dick Nugent. In keeping with the links model, the design draws on the open, treeless character of the original Scottish, English and Irish courses, with wind exposure, grassy dunes, mounding and tangled rough rather than tree-lined corridors.
The two layouts are municipal courses open to public play. During a Champions Tour event held at Harborside in 2002, two-time Masters champion Ben Crenshaw likened the property to Muirfield in Scotland.
