About Blackberry Oaks Golf Course
Blackberry Oaks Golf Course in Bristol, Illinois, opened in 1993, the result of a collaboration between longtime friends Wally Boughton and Gary Blocker. Their aim was a course that golfers of any ability could enjoy while spending time outdoors.
The 18-hole championship layout plays from roughly 5,294 yards up to more than 6,400 yards. Holes wind through wooded terrain and run along Blackberry Creek, with additional water features worked into the design to test stronger players while still leaving newer golfers room to learn the game in a quiet, natural setting.
