About Crestwicke Country Club
Crestwicke Country Club is a private membership club southeast of Bloomington, Illinois, on a 147-acre site. Plans for a country club serving the Bloomington-Normal area began in the summer of 1966, led by a local group that surveyed hundreds of area families before selecting the property, then owned by Harber Hall and Brookside Farms. The course was designed by La Grange architect Lawrence Packard, who went on to design courses across Illinois and abroad, and was built by the Wadsworth Company of Plainfield.

The clubhouse, built in a contemporary rustic style, was finished in stages: the upper level opened in the fall of 1969 with a cocktail lounge, dining room, multi-purpose room and club office, while the lower level followed in late 1971 with the pro shop, bag storage, locker rooms, a card room and a 19th hole.
Ownership changed several times in the club's history, including a 1975 purchase by Bloomington Federal and a 1992 sale to a Japanese investor, with management by a Texas-based group.
