About Biltmore Country Club
Biltmore Country Club is a private club in Barrington, Illinois, combining golf with tennis, dining and a range of recreational and event programs for families. Among its amenities is a private beach, one of the few in the Barrington area.
The property has a long history. Around 1900 the land that became Biltmore Estates and Biltmore Country Club was settled by the William Sandman family. The farm was later acquired by William R. Grace, an English cabinetmaker, who built a house that served for many years as the club's clubhouse, along with a water tower and a stable that was converted into the pro shop and bag storage.
