About Panorama West Golf Course and Clubhouse
Panorama West is a nine-hole course on the west side of Lake Panorama in Panora, Iowa. It was laid out by architect Richard Watson, who designed both of the development's courses — the 18-hole Lake Panorama National on the east shore and Panorama West on the opposite side — with each opening in 1971.
The course's history is tied to that of the lake itself. A dam on the Middle Raccoon River near Panora was first discussed in 1931, though construction did not begin until 1969; the 1,400-acre lake filled the following year, and the two golf courses were part of the original plans for the surrounding development.

Beyond golf, Lake Panorama National Resort provides lodging, a lounge and event space, along with an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, pickleball, basketball and tennis courts, and access to private beaches and boating on the lake.
