About Lake Panorama National Golf Course
Lake Panorama traces its origins to 1931, when a dam on the Middle Raccoon River near Panora was first discussed. The Lake Panorama Association's by-laws were approved more than three decades later, dam construction began in 1969, and the lake filled in 1970.
The development called for two courses, one on each side of the water, both designed by Richard Watson and opened in 1971: the 18-hole Lake Panorama National on the east shore and the 9-hole Panorama West.

Beyond golf, Lake Panorama National Resort provides on-site lodging, a lounge and event space. Additional amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, pickleball, basketball and tennis courts, a fitness center, and access to private beaches and boating on the 1,400-acre lake.
