Oskaloosa Public Golf has been part of the rolling countryside of central Iowa for roughly a century. The course began as a nine-hole layout in the 1920s, and a second nine, newly designed, was added in 1998 to create the present par-72 course. It is open to the public, and yearly memberships are also available.
The layout runs through natural, wooded terrain, with tree-lined fairways, undulating greens and stands of trees and other natural obstacles that give players of varying skill levels something to work with. Practice facilities include a driving range and a practice green.
