5 by 80 Golf & Country Club is a semi-private, family-oriented facility in Menlo, Iowa, established in 1966. Along with golf, it offers a range of recreational activities, a restaurant and a lounge.
The club sits near the junction of Interstate 80 and State Highway 25. It began as the idea of Charlie Crawford of Adair, who gathered backing from five towns strung along I-80 — Adair, Casey, Menlo, Stuart and Dexter — a grouping that gave the club its unusual name. Membership has since broadened to include residents of communities across Iowa.
The facility is set up as a year-round social and entertainment destination for members and their families.
