Kalona Golf Course
About Kalona Golf Course
Kalona Golf Course is a nine-hole layout in Kalona, Iowa, designed by architect Edward Lockie and built in its current configuration in 1984. The club is a member of the Iowa Golf Association and is affiliated with the USGA.
The greens are bent grass, while the fairways are a mix of blue grass and winter rye. Two ponds bring water into play, and many of the fairways are lined with trees. The rolling terrain often leaves uphill or downhill lies, and the surrounding scenery adds to the setting.
Course staff include superintendent Dave Harland and clubhouse manager Kelsie Berg.
