About Sheaffer Memorial Golf Park
Sheaffer Memorial Golf Park is a public 18-hole course in Fort Madison, Iowa, designed by W.D. Wagstaff and opened in 1962. It has long been a fixture of the golf community in southeast Iowa.
The course's first clubhouse was a two-story country-style brick building, which was removed in 1998 as part of a broader plan for the property. The current A-frame clubhouse opened in 1999, with a full-size industrial kitchen, seating for up to 150 people and panoramic views across the course.
