Meadowview Golf & Country Club opened in 1964 on a 40-acre parcel in Central City, land that had previously been the Glen Page farm and was owned by L.C. Howe. A group of local golfing enthusiasts organized the club, leasing the ground and setting up the course, with Gene Finnell laying out the holes. The original farmhouse served as the clubhouse, and improvements and additional facilities were added over time.
Howe sold the property to Chris and Debbie Nelson in 1985. The Nelsons bought another 30 acres around the course in 1994 and opened the expansion in 1996, converting what had been a short nine-hole layout into a long nine. Doug, Erika and Judy Decker purchased the course in 2014.
The nine-hole course is lined with mature trees and includes four ponds, with greens that are carefully maintained.
