Set in Makaha Valley on Oahu's leeward side, this course sits next to the neighboring Makaha Golf Club (West) and was laid out by architect William F. Bell, whose credits include the South Course at Torrey Pines.
The routing moves across rolling ground framed by thick stands of trees, ferns and tropical plantings, with valley views throughout. Doglegs and shifting elevations shape much of the round, which finishes on a closing stretch regarded as one of the more demanding in Hawaii.
