Princeville Makai Golf Club
About Princeville Makai Golf Club
Princeville Makai Golf Club, part of the Princeville Resort on Kauai's north shore, is a Robert Trent Jones Jr. design that opened in 1971 and was redesigned by the same architect in 2009. The par-72 layout routes past quiet lakes, stands of native woodland and dramatic coastline, with views toward Bali Hai and Hanalei Bay. Six sets of tees allow the course to stretch beyond 7,200 yards from the back markers.

The renovation brought Seashore Paspalum turf to all fairways and greens, along with reconfigured green complexes and surrounds and substantial reshaping of every bunker. The signature par-3 7th measures 213 yards from the tips, asking for a tee shot across cliffs to a green ringed by white sand and framed by mountain and Pacific Ocean views.
Practice amenities include two large practice tees, a practice fairway bunker, seven target greens with bunkers, a teaching tee and a short-game complex. Rental clubs and a golf shop are available.
