About Pukalani Country Club

Pukalani Country Club sits on the hillsides of Maui's "Up-Country," at roughly the 1,100-foot elevation of Haleakala, the extinct volcano whose Hawaiian name means "House of the Rising Sun" and which inspired the club's logo. The setting takes in the Pacific and wide views across the Valley Isle.

The 18-hole course was designed by architect Bob Baldock, who laid out more than 69 public and private courses across the United States. Built in 1980, it spreads over nearly 160 acres and measures 6,962 yards from the championship tees at par 72.

An unusual feature is the course's 19 greens across 18 holes: at the third, golfers choose between a long iron across a ravine into the wind to one green, or a steep chip down several hundred feet to a bunkered green below.
