About Kapalua - The Bay Course
The Bay Course at Kapalua opened in 1975 and has since served as the site of more than 20 major professional tournaments, more than any other course on Hawaii's neighbor islands. Over the decades it has tested leading players across generations, from the Kapalua International in the early 1980s to the Kapalua LPGA Classic some 25 years later.
The course has produced a long list of notable champions and finishes, including Greg Norman's first victory on American soil, the World Cup of Golf win by Wales' Ian Woosnam and David Llewellyn, and Morgan Pressel's narrow triumph in the LPGA event. Fred Couples and Davis Love III each won here twice.
