Poipu Bay Golf Course
About Poipu Bay Golf Course
Set on the sunny south shore of Kauai, Poipu Bay Golf Course spreads across 210 oceanfront acres between mountains and rugged sea cliffs. The 18-hole championship resort layout was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and features seashore paspalum greens. It served as the host course of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf from 1994 through 2006.
The course meanders along the coastline, with 85 bunkers, five water hazards and shifting trade winds shaping play. Wildlife is part of the setting: Hawaiian monk seals, green sea turtles and humpback whales may be seen offshore, while the Nene goose, found only in Hawaii, frequents the grounds.
