Royal Hawaiian Golf Club
About Royal Hawaiian Golf Club
Set deep in the Maunawili Valley on the windward side of O‘ahu, about 20 minutes from Waikiki, Royal Hawaiian Golf Club plays through a tropical landscape of royal palms, banana and koa trees, and streams holding native Hawaiian fish. The valley setting gives the layout a secluded, jungle-like character.
The course was redesigned by Greg Norman. It demands a variety of shots, with several forced carries from the tee, bunkers framed by railroad ties, and fairways that spill away into bunkers and ravines. The signature 11th hole features a pond tucked into the greenery.
