The First Tee of Troup County is a not-for-profit organization that became a chapter of The First Tee in December 2005. Its mission centers on reaching young people from all backgrounds through golf instruction and educational programming intended to serve them throughout their lives.
The chapter's Learning Center gives children ages 5 to 18 a place to learn and play golf while also building life skills. A clubhouse serves the facility, where memberships are handled; membership is required before using the practice grounds, though the facility is open at no cost to children actively taking part in The First Tee of Troup County programming.
