Nob North Golf Course

Nob North Golf Course is a public layout in Cohutta, Georgia, with an opening stretch that puts a premium on accuracy off the tee.

The first hole is a short par 5 that can be reached in two, though the drive must favor the left side of the fairway without drifting far enough left to find the lake. The second is the course's shortest par 4, tempting longer hitters to go for the green despite out of bounds down the left and a creek along the right. The third, a medium-length par 4, is bordered by out of bounds left and water right, and allows either a long iron or a driver from the tee; running the ball through the fairway leaves a tricky approach to a green built in three tiers.
