About Canton Golf Club
Canton Golf Club is a nine-hole course laid out in the Canton Creek Valley in Canton, Georgia.
The course was built in 1938 by Robert Tyre Jones Sr., grandfather of the golfer Bobby Jones. The elder Jones moved to Canton with his family and played a significant role in the town's growth, helping make it a center of denim manufacturing. He established the Canton Cotton Mills, was among the founders of the Bank of Canton, and owned Jones Mercantile Store, the largest department store in the county.
