About Bainbridge Country Club
Bainbridge Country Club was founded in 1921, after Lloyd Rich Sr. loaned money to a group of local citizens for the purpose. The original layout was nine holes, occupying what is now the back nine, and a clubhouse was built with a veranda overlooking the finishing hole. That building burned in 1957 and was rebuilt, then fully refurbished in 1991. The course began with sand greens, which were converted to grass in 1948, planted by families working at night by car headlights. In 1964 additional land leased from the Pirrung family allowed the course to be completed as 18 holes.

The club today offers a driving range and putting green, along with spaces for dinners, receptions and meetings. Other facilities include the Oak Room cocktail lounge, the 1921 Grille, an Olympic-size swimming pool and clay tennis courts.
