About Venice East Golf Course

Venice East Golf Course began in 1961 as a public course laid out by Roy Albert Anderson on 52 acres within the Venice East subdivision.

In 1983, a group of golfers bought 37 acres of the property and formed the Venice East Golf Association. The purchase included a small clubhouse with a screened front porch, a separate building for the golf carts, and a driving range alongside US 41. The Association acquired the remaining 15 acres between the course and the highway in 1994, opening highway access to the range.
