About River Hills Country Club
River Hills Country Club opened in 1989 as a private club, laid out by golf course architect Joe Lee. The course sits within the River Hills community next to FishHawk, roughly a half hour from downtown Tampa.
The Joe Lee signature design plays 18 holes to a par of 72 and measures 7,007 yards from the championship tees. Contoured fairways, well-guarded greens and 67 bunkers shape the challenge, while the tropical vegetation and natural surroundings frame the round. The layout tests stronger players but remains manageable for a range of abilities.

Playing surfaces include Bermuda fairways and CHAMPION Dwarf Bermudagrass greens, an ultradwarf putting surface also used at a number of tournament venues.
