Sanibel Island Golf Club

Sanibel Island Golf Club sits on Florida's barrier islands, where the layout was routed to fit the natural island landscape from the early days of golf on Sanibel. Nearly half a century on, the course retains that close relationship with its surroundings, with wetlands, water and island breezes shaping play.

Among the test's highlights is a 152-yard par three defended by water down the left and a deep bunker set just left of the putting surface, where the prevailing wind makes club selection a guessing game. The fourth, a 377-yard par four, runs alongside wetlands for its full length on the left with out of bounds to the right, and finishes at a green flanked by bunkers on both sides and water to the right.
