About Sawgrass Country Club

Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach offers 27 holes split among the East, West and South nines, each routed through mature trees, water features and the coastal landscape of the area. The courses were originally designed by architect Ed Seay.

The East nine served as the front nine of the championship routing when the club hosted The Players Championship. Its long par-5 4th plays back toward the ocean, followed by a demanding tee shot on the 5th in the opposite direction, where the right side is bordered by the Guana Preserve.

The West nine starts out away from the clubhouse before looping back, mixing a variety of hole types. Its signature hole is a long par 3 played over water, and the adjacent lake continues to influence strategy through the closing stretch.
