Shingle Creek Golf Club

Shingle Creek Golf Club takes its name and setting from the creek that forms the northernmost headwaters of the Everglades. The waterway drew some of Central Florida's earliest settlers, who were attracted by the area's wildlife, plentiful fishing and stands of cypress.

In those early days the creek served the logging trade: cypress cut nearby was floated downstream to a mill, where it was cut into shingles, giving both the creek and the present-day course their name. That history remains part of the club's identity in Orlando.
