About LaPlaya Golf Club

LaPlaya Golf Club in Naples opened in January 2002 as an entirely new 18-hole layout designed by Bob Cupp. The course plays to a par of 72 at 6,902 yards, with five sets of tees to accommodate a range of playing abilities.

Cupp founded Cupp Design, Inc. in 1986 and went on to design more than 100 courses, among them Beacon Hill near Toronto, Pumpkin Ridge in Portland, Oregon, Old Waverly in West Point, Mississippi, and, closer to home, The Estuary at Grey Oaks and Grey Oaks Golf Clubs in Naples. For the 15 years before starting his own firm, he worked as a senior designer for Jack Nicklaus on projects around the world.

The club's staff plans a calendar of tournaments and events for members each year.
