About Space Coast Golf Club
Space Coast Golf Club in Merritt Island was designed by architect Gordon Lewis and opened in 1989. The layout is built around shot-making, with room to recover after a stray shot, and it offers a wide spread of tee options: the back tees play long and demanding, while newer forward family/executive tees shorten the course for less experienced players and those wanting a quicker round.
Among the course's notable holes are the 525-yard par-5 seventh, considered one of the more difficult holes in Central Florida, along with the 390-yard par-4 fourth, the 407-yard par-4 11th and the 402-yard par-4 18th. Strategy and finesse feature throughout the design, which accommodates golfers across skill levels.
