Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club
About Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club
Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club is a public course in Largo, Florida, with a tournament history that includes more than a dozen years as host of the PGA/LPGA JCPenney Classic along with numerous local events.
The club was founded in 1971 by Oliver Bardes, an Ohio industrialist and keen golfer. The layout in play today was one of three courses William Diddle designed for Bardes, and golf at Bardmoor opened with an exhibition match between Ben Hogan and Tommy Bolt in 1971.
A design renovation led by Gary Koch, a six-time PGA Tour winner and golf course architect, was completed in 2001. The work included rebuilt greens, a new irrigation system and fresh white sand in the bunkers.
