The Groves Golf and Country Club
About The Groves Golf and Country Club
The Groves Golf & Country Club sits in Land O' Lakes, just north of Tampa, with its golf course bordered by roughly 200 acres of conservation wetlands. The layout was designed by Gary Koch, a professional golfer and sportscaster, who routed the holes with the surrounding natural landscape in mind.
The course plays as an 18-hole, par-66 layout measuring 3,928 yards, built with the features of a full-length championship design in compressed form. Individual holes range from 105 to 350 yards. Winding fairways are lined with trees and water, and the greens are well protected by bunkering, creating a course that asks for placement rather than length. The design is approachable for a range of skill levels, and a round typically takes about three and a half hours.
