Jacksonville Beach Golf Club

Jacksonville Beach Golf Club is a municipal course owned and operated by the City of Jacksonville Beach. It carries more than 50 years of history, beginning as a private nine-hole layout before expanding to 18 holes after the city acquired the property. Several changes have followed over the decades, the most extensive being a renovation that began in January 2018.

That project, designed by golf course architect Harrison Minchew, reshaped and reconfigured holes to improve playability, adding more par 4s and reducing the number of water hazards. The most notable change came at the close of the round, with new configurations for the 16th, 17th and 18th greens. Fairways were planted with 419 Bermuda grass and greens with salt-resistant Platinum Paspalum, while drainage and irrigation were modernized to run entirely on reclaimed water.
