About Windswept Dunes Golf Club
Windswept Dunes Golf Club in Freeport was designed and built by Doug O'Rourke, who routed the course so as to retain much of the site's existing vegetation and natural contours. The layout is defined by stretches of white sand dunes, some rising as high as 20 feet, along with broad rolling fairways and shaped bunkering.
The course occupies a 750-acre setting away from busier areas, giving it a quiet, uncrowded character. It sits roughly 30 minutes inland from the beaches of Destin, the 30A corridor and Panama City Beach.
