About The Amelia River Club
The Amelia River Club opened in 2000 and underwent an upgrade in 2022, when a new performance center and pro shop were added. Designed by Tom Jackson, the 18-hole layout plays to 6,808 yards from the back tees at par 72, routed through stands of live oaks, sabal palms, pines and wax myrtles. The course is noted for its TifEagle greens, groomed fairways and demanding pin placements.
Accuracy and ball control matter here. Holes 1, 5 and 13 run along the edge of the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport, where wide, open fairways give a links-like feel, while the remainder of the round is framed by single trees and tree clusters that call for careful placement. The 6th offers a generous landing area but a blind uphill approach, with trees on the left and four bunkers guarding the front and left of the green.
