About Brooklawn Country Club
Brooklawn Country Club is a private club in Fairfield, Connecticut, founded in May 1895 as the Brooklawn Club Corporation. It was established by a group of Bridgeport business figures, led by Dr. I. DeVer Warner, who wanted a place where their families could gather for athletic and social pursuits.
The club has grown steadily from its origins. A nine-hole course laid out by the members themselves has since become an 18-hole layout, three dirt tennis courts have expanded into a seven-court tennis center, and a swimming and recreation complex has been added. The original farmhouse clubhouse has given way to a 50,000-square-foot clubhouse that serves as the hub of club social life.
