About Gypsum Creek Golf Course
Gypsum Creek Golf Course is an 18-hole championship layout designed by Pete Dye, set in the Gypsum Valley on a steep, sage-covered mesa. The routing uses the terrain for both scenery and deception, with steep drop-offs and awkward angles a recurring theme. The signature 15th is a par 5 measuring more than 550 yards from the back tees, and prevailing winds make it a rare target in two. Gypsum Creek itself winds through the property, and the Red Table Mountains form the backdrop.

The course opened in 1997 as Cotton Ranch Golf Club, then a semi-private country club. The Town of Gypsum purchased it in January 2010 and renamed it, and it now operates as a fully public facility. It sits about 35 miles west of Vail and has one of the longer playing seasons in the Eagle Valley.
