About Cattails Golf Course
Cattails Golf Course is an 18-hole, championship-length layout owned by the City of Alamosa. The front nine dates back roughly 60 years, while the back nine was designed by Dick Phelps and added in 1991. New irrigation was installed on the front nine in 2019 and on the back nine in 2024.
Cottonwood trees line the fairways, and wetlands run throughout the property, bringing water into play across the round. The course sits just north of the Rio Grande River, with 360-degree mountain views and wildlife frequently visible along the way, making for a relaxed setting for a round.
