San Gabriel Country Club
About San Gabriel Country Club
San Gabriel Country Club was established in 1904 on land that was once part of the historic San Gabriel Mission. The first layout had just nine holes with the sand-oiled greens common to the era. In 1912 the golfer-architect Norman Macbeth, who went on to design other Southern California courses, expanded it to 18 holes.
The course is lined with mature trees and gently sloping, with contoured ground that follows the quiet vistas of the San Gabriel Valley.
The private club has a long-standing social side, with dining and family-oriented gatherings that range from bocce, buffets and barbecues to concerts on the fairway and wine dinners, often with entertainment.
