Oak Quarry Golf Club

Oak Quarry Golf Club occupies the site of the former Jensen Quarry, where marble and limestone were mined for decades and used in roads, large buildings and homes across the greater Los Angeles area. During World War I the quarry was a significant regional source of marble, and in its working years it yielded limestone, marble and dozens of other minerals before operations ceased in 1979.

Twenty-two years after the quarry closed, the golf course was routed through the old workings by Dr. Gil Morgan together with Schmidt-Curley Design, giving the layout its distinctive setting among the exposed rock faces and dramatic quarry terrain near Riverside.
