Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles sits atop the cliffs of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, roughly 30 minutes south of LAX, with Pacific Ocean views from every hole.
The layout was designed by Pete Dye and is marked by large white-sand bunkers, broad lakes and coastal panoramas. Its risk-and-reward shot options present a stiff test for low handicappers, while higher handicappers encounter a succession of distinctive holes.
Players are required to have one set of clubs each, and rental sets are available. Reservations for single golfers are accepted only when they can be paired with a twosome or threesome, though walk-on space for singles is often available without guarantee.
