Goat Hill Park Golf Course
About Goat Hill Park Golf Course
Goat Hill Park in Oceanside is an 18-hole, par-65 layout measuring roughly 4,600 yards. That distance places it in the "short course" category — a hybrid between an executive course, which typically runs 4,000 yards or less, and a regulation course, which generally starts around 5,200 yards.
The property dates to 1952, making it one of the earliest golf courses in San Diego County. It opened as a regulation-length nine-hole par 36 called Oceanside-Carlsbad Country Club. In the early 1990s, Ludwig Keehn redesigned the ground into the current 18-hole short course, renamed Center City Golf Course, though locals had long referred to the hilly site simply as "Goat Hill."
